In alignment with its commitment to expand, advance, transform, preserve, and enrich access to knowledge, the Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) has signed a multi-year membership agreement with OA Switchboard – a central metadata hub.

OA Switchboard is a non-profit, community-driven collaboration between funders, academic institutions and publishers that aims to support and develop the open infrastructure of which scientific publications are part. OA Switchboard offers a system where standardized data exchange takes place between the actors involved, which can both streamline and quality-assure working methods and communication.

CRKN subscribes to OA Switchboard on behalf of all member institutions to provide them with the opportunity to use the service without incurring any extra fees.
